Heart-Shaped Strawberry Yogurt Pancakes

  1. 1/2 cup lukewarm water
  2. 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  3. 200 g plain yoghurt
  4. 1 egg
  5. pinch of salt
  6. 4 tbsp caster sugar
  7. 1 tbsp sunflower oil + extra for greasing
  8. 1 cup plain flour
  9. 100 g strawberries, hulled and sliced
  10. 2 tbsp strawberry jam
  1. Dissolve soda in the water.
  2. Stir in the yoghurt, egg, salt, sugar and 1 tbsp oil.
  3. Gradually stir in the flour. Let to rest for 5 minutes.
  4. Place a heat-shaped egg mould on a preheated greased pan.
  5. Spoon over the batter.
  6. Place a couple of strawberry slices on top.
  7. Fry until you see bubbles. Turn over and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  8. Place 3 pancakes on top of each other, spreading with the jam top of each one. Decorate with the remaining strawberry slices.
