This very simple recipe for garlic salt I knew from my mother-in-law. No meal is without this salt on the table. The garlic salt can be added directly to the meal or while cooking.
Keep it in a jar at room temperature or in a fridge for a very long time..like very long…
- 100 g salt
- 30 g garlic
- dried herbs to taste (optional)
- Peel the garlic, cut into chunks and thoroughly grind with a pestle and mortar.
- In a bowl mix together salt and garlic.
- Add dried herbs if using. Transfer to a jar and voila!
