  1. 240 g plain flour
  2. 40 g caster sugar
  3. ~6 g dried yeast
  4. 1/2 tsp salt
  5. 1 egg yolk
  6. 100 ml whole milk, warm
  7. 30 g softened butter
For The Filling
  1. 3 tbsp melted butter
  2. 2 tbsp sugar
  3. 2 tbsp ground almonds
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, dried yeast, salt and egg yolk.
  2. Add the milk and softened butter.
  3. Knead an elastic dough. Cover with a kitchen towel and leave in a warm place for 1 - 1 1/2 hours to let the dough to rise.
  4. Roll the dough into a rectangle 0.3-0.5 cm thick.
  5. Spoon over melted butter. Sprinkle over sugar and ground almonds.
  6. Roll the dough in large sausage.
  7. Cut in 6 even pieces. Take one, make a hollow with a back of a teaspoon. Put 1 tsp of almond sugar and seal securely.
  8. Place on a baking mat leaving space between the buns.
  9. Put in a warm place for 30 minutes to let it rise.
  10. Preheat the oven to 180C.
  11. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Remove from the oven, leave to cool for 5-10 minutes, sprinkle over the icing sugar and serve.
